About Weslaco Housing Authority

Pursuant to HUD Program requirements, residents pay no more than 30% of their annual adjusted income for rent.
Unfortunately, the Weslaco Housing Authority lacks a sufficient housing supply to meet the demand for housing assistance. Applicants will be placed on a waiting list. Please be advised that all qualifying applicants will be housed according to availability.

All applicants have the right to accept or decline housing assistance offer. Applicants who decline our offer will be withdrawn from the waiting list.


Mission Statement

The WHA’s mission is to provide safe, decent and sanitary housing conditions for very low-income families and to manage resources efficiently. The WHA is to promote personal, economic and social upward mobility to provide families the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to no-subsidized housing.
